    Every Moment Counts!

Another successfully busy week at Henderson. We feel so thankful and lucky to be able to give all of our children these amazing opportunities and we thank the staff for organising.

We have had lots of outings across Key Stage 2 this week. On Monday, Year 4 and 5 visited the residents at the Ivy Care Home. On Wednesday, Year 6 visited UEA and Year 3 visited Norwich Castle. Today, Year 5 visited a farm close to Filby. Next week, the teachers will be writing highlights on these trips!

We had a wonderful Christmas lunch on Thursday - it was enjoyed by many children and many staff members. A huge thank you our Friends of HGPA for providing every child with a cracker - this was a great success! The children were dressed in their jumpers for Save the Children - well done to all.

We continue to enjoy the run up to the festive period and are enjoying hearing Christmas songs being sung. We look forward to inviting parents and carers into school to watch this performance next week and come to our Christmas Fair.

This week, we also welcome Mrs Blackley to join our pastoral team as the pastoral manager. She has many years of experience and will work with Miss Borrmann and Mrs Massen.

Thank you for your continuing support.

    Let's Celebrate Attendance

Our whole school attendance this week was 92.9%. In first place this week is Year 4 with 96.5%, second place is Year 6 with 96.4% and in third place was Reception with 95.4%.

Reminder, as a school, we are no longer allowed to authorise any requests for children to be taken out of school for a holiday during term time.

    Star Pupils!

This weeks stars in celebration assembly were...

Year 1 Isabelle - Isabelle set an amazing example to the class as star of the week. Isabelle has really impressed me with her knowledge on imperative verbs and subtracting on a number line. Well done Isabelle!

Year 2  Niyla - She is beginning to independently start her work before asking for help. It it great seeing her persist and believe in herself!

Year 3 Elsie - In Cromer class, I am proud of all of you for your effort and behaviour on our school trip! Our certificate this week is going to Elsie for her participation during all of our activities!

Year 4 Umar - Our star of the week is Umar! He has settled in to Year 4 really well and is a responsible member of the class. Well done, Umar!

Year 5 ALL Sea Palling - Well done Sea Palling, you have been absolute superstars on both school trips this week! You are all great role models and we are so proud of you.

Year 6 David - In Horsey we are so proud of Mekaela because she has been ready to push herself on Reading Buddy, getting lots of 80%+ quizzes and moving up to the next level.
